Summer is coming for you — Webb offers six camps


BELL BUCKLE, Tenn. – Students can enjoy summer fun with the choice of six camps that have something for everyone. Three one-week sessions of Day Camp and one week of Overnight Camp, each with a variety of activities, a Mental Toughness/Basketball Skills Camp, Volleyball Camp and a Webb Basketball League are all planned for youth of various ages. Rounding out the offerings is a Boarding School Experience Camp that Webb is hosting along with three other schools in the region.


Day camp is planned for rising 4th-8th graders and will be offered June 10-14, June 17-21 and June 24-28 from 8:45 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost is $275 per week with $50 off if attending more than one week. Bus service from Murfreesboro and Tullahoma departing the locations at 8 a.m. each day is planned for $50 a week. A selection of Zombie Apocalypse Training, Team-Building Games, Outdoor Adventures, Sports Games, LEGO Robotics, Engineering and Art are included during the weeklong camps.


Webb will offer an overnight camp on June 23-28 that will include Outdoor Adventures, LEGO Robotics, Sports Games, Zombie Apocalypse Training and evening activities in addition to giving the students the opportunity to experience boarding school life. The camp is co-ed and available for rising 6th-9th graders. The cost is $750.


Mental Toughness and Basketball Skills Camp is co-ed and planned for rising 6th-12th graders on June 24-28 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (3:30 p.m. if riding the bus). The cost is $250. The camp will focus on helping players accelerate their development, maximize training time, become be more confident on the court and gain a better understanding of their strengths and skill values as they pertain to the team.


Webb’s Basketball League is a five-week camp May 28-June 30 for rising 5th-8th graders. The cost is $200. The camp includes skills clinics on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m., team practices on Thursdays from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday league games from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. League playoffs will be June 29-30.


For the Volleyball Camp set for July 15-17, Webb will utilize The Volleyball Package, a group of skilled volleyball current/former collegiate coaches from North Carolina who have a combined 50 years of experience. The coaches spend their summers traveling to schools and hosting camps. Open to rising 6th-12th graders, the camp cost is $185 for the daily 9 a.m-1 p.m. sessions. The registration deadline is May 20.


Completing the summer offerings is the Boarding School Experience Camp. During this weeklong camp, rising 7th and 8th grade students will be able to get a taste of true boarding life through the lens of four different boarding schools in the region including Webb, Baylor School (Chattanooga, Tenn.), St. Andrew's-Sewanee (Sewanee, Tenn.), and Indian Springs School (Birmingham, Ala.). The camp is slated for June 24-28. The cost is $1,450 (includes all travel costs and fees), and scholarships are available.
