Meet the President
Meet the Chamber President
As with any new year, we begin reflecting on the previous year, our successes and areas we’ll focus on again in the new year. We set new goals and resolutions and hope we remain committed to them throughout the year. The Chamber experienced yet another successful year in 2017 starting with a new Executive Director, Hope Sartain, who promised to bring ‘hope and vision’ to the future of the Chamber and I believe she did just that. Hope’s enthusiasm and passion for Tullahoma and our Chamber were evident in every activity and function throughout her first year.
On behalf of the TACC and members, I want to thank our 2017 Chamber President Ken Keller for the superb job this past year. Ken has an infectious enthusiasm and hopefully we all caught it in 2017 from him. His service attitude and heart for Tullahoma are unmatched and this past year will certainly be “one for the books” as he’d say. Thank you Ken!!
As incoming Chamber President my first task is to reflect on the many past successes of the Chamber then focus on the direction for 2018. Growing Chamber membership remains our number one goal. Continuing to enhance member benefits, including providing networking opportunities where business leaders can build strong connections with new businesses is a prime objective.
We look forward to continuing many of our Chamber “staple” successes including Taste of Tullahoma and Business Expo, Annual Golf Tournament, the Business Development series and Women Impacting the Community. We’re planning After Hours Mixer with other local Chambers in neighboring communities and also working with our neighbors with the Emerging Leaders program and of course, one of my favorite Chamber events, the Annual Christmas Parade. This is an exciting time to be in Tullahoma as we continue to see growth in our fine city. One doesn’t have to drive far on Jackson Street to see the evidence of this growth. You don’t have to be big to be great and while Tullahoma is a smaller city in this great State, we have so much to offer our residents and businesses to remain a top city in Tennessee. The Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce continues to work for you and for your business. I encourage you to remain involved and an active participant in your community and in your Chamber as we continue to grow together.
Our biggest event is just around the corner and I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming Celebration banquet on Friday, February 2nd as we reflect on our 2017 successes and recognize many of those who’ve served our great city and citizens this past year. The night will be a time to reflect on our many blessings from 2017, refocus on our goals for 2018 and relax See you there.
