Dustin Lynch Benefit Concert
Dustin Lynch gives back to his Tennessee hometown
Country singer Dustin Lynch picked up his second No. 1 hit with “Hell of a Night” this fall and now that it’s the holiday season, the Tullahoma, Tenn., native is eager to give back to his hometown.
Lynch, who spent much of the year on tour withLuke Bryan, hosted his second annual Dustin Lynch & Friends acoustic benefit concert at his former high school this week and raised about $18,000 for local charities.
“I love the timing of it,” Lynch said of the concert, which he sets up like a songwriters round. “It really does kick off the holiday season. This time of the year has become a wind-down for us, and doing this event gets me in the holiday spirit. I’ve gotten to a point in life were I don’t need or want anything around the holidays. I love going out and shopping and giving back and volunteering, and this is the event that kicks all of that off for a few weeks.”
Lynch brought songwriters Matt Jenkins, Lee Thomas Miller and Tim Nicholsalong with newcomer Tyler Rich to perform at the event. Proceeds will be split between Tullahoma charities that provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in the area.
